Viktor & Rolf reinterprets the evening column with this mesh jersey mermaid skirt. Crafted in a fine black stretch mesh, the design is defined by ruched panels running the length of the leg, drawing the skirt close over the hip and thigh before releasing into a fluted mermaid hem.

The semi-sheer mesh is worked over a shorter opaque under-layer, so the transparency reads only at the flare, while the elastane content lets the fabric mould to the body and recover its shape. Restrained in colour and unmistakably constructed, the skirt shows the house's instinct for building drama into cut rather than ornament.
