Warsaw

This is Polish fashion designer, Magda Butrym’s, ultimate guide to Warsaw. As the founder of the hottest luxury ready-to-wear brand to emerge out of Poland, the stylist-turned-designer launched her namesake label in 2014, using her home city as her muse. Bursting with passion and commitment to local artisans and a soulful and stylish approach to designing womenswear, Magda Butrym details her city guide to Warsaw.

What are the best hotels or stays in or around Warsaw?

Bristol hotel, very classic, elegant and soulful.

List your top dining locations for breakfast, lunch or dinner?

Sam for breakfast, Soto Sushi for lunch and Nolita for dinner.

What are the essential cultural or historical experiences?

I would say the Museum of Warsaw Uprising is an important one. It explains to you a lot about the city, and an important part of its history. Museum of Modern Art, Zacheta and Foksal Gallery for the good overview of the amazing modern Polish art.

Where are the best shopping experiences?

There is a bunch of lovely boutiques on Mokotowska street, Galilu Olfafactory with a great selection of beauty products.

How long to stay in Warsaw?

During the summer probably 4-5 days is a good amount.

Are there any neighbouring towns or surrounding precincts in Poland we should see?

A trip to nearby Wilanow is always lovely. There is a beautiful, lavish palace from XVII century to visit, and also a Museum of Polish poster. Krakow is a bit further, but a really beautiful and special place, that you can't miss.

Is there one luxury experience that stands out?

A facial by Mrs Grazynka with Omorovicza cosmetics in Galilu on Aleja Roz.

The best bar is...

Bar at the Raffles Hotel.

The best hairdresser or skin health treatment is...

Kasia at Hullhair. Her studio is located in beautiful old tenement house.

What is your number one insider tip (i.e. weather, style essentials)?

Warsaw is a good city for walking, and I would recommend to tour it by foot, so a good pair of sneakers could be a good idea.
