Blumarine, founded in 1977 by Anna Molinari and Gianpaolo Tarabini, takes its name from their love of the sea and favourite colour. Rising to prominence after being named Designer of the Year at Modit in 1980, the brand debuted at Milan Fashion Week soon after.
