DIRECTORS MESSAGE: PARIS FASHION WEEK AW25 MARCH

Eva Galambos Parlour X Paris Fashion Week AW25

March in Paris usually calls for layering, but this time the sun was out in full force – one of the warmest, sunniest springs I can remember. The whole city of Paris felt different, lighter with the uplifting energy which carried through Fashion Week

The new-defining Dries Van Noten’s show was a dream – showing effortless sophistication with just the right amount of edge.

Rabanne gave a fresh look while honouring its heritage, and Sarah Burton’s debut for Givenchy felt like a bold new chapter.
Every collection told their own story, and I loved taking it all in first-hand.

The buying appointments were equally as exciting! Sacai had mastered structure and fluidity, Comme des Garçons defied expectations, and Kering Eyewear showcasing their blended innovation and timeless craftsmanship. Selecting pieces for Parlour X was truly inspiring.

SHOWROOMS AND COLLECTIONS

The showroom collections displayed innovation and craftsmanship, Kering Eyewear blending function and fashion in their collection , Dries Van Noten, blending elegance and incorporating edgy layering pieces, and Alaïa enhancing sculptural. Sacai fused structure and fluidity, Rabanne’s mixed origins and futuristic ideas, while Vaquera, Uma Wang, and Comme Des Garçons pushing boundaries in fashion.

RUNWAY SHOWS

Sarah Burton’s debut at Givenchy was the iconic moment – I was incredibly lucky to be backstage, and witnessing the energy first hand. Dries Van Noten delivered and redefined elegance with a new era of creative direction, Rabanne combining futurism and honouring heritage, Uma Wang’s textures were captivating, Nina Ricci was daring, Junya showcasing avant-garde, Noir was written poetry walking on the runway, Westwood remaining rebellious and unapologetic, and Sacai’s experimental master pieces.

TRENDS

This season’s trends redefined classic elements with a refreshing energy. Scarves were reimagined in striking, visionary ways, while puff sleeves added a fearless and dramatic aura. Plaid & checks made a vivid statement, metallics and sequins brought star like shimmer, the velvet highlighting the depth of luxe, and refined shoes to finish every look with impact. Block contrast-colour combinations gained wide-spread popularity within fashion.

DINNERS

On this trip, my beloved Paris restaurants remained the same: Baronne, Tekes LouLou, La Belle Époque, Siena, Sugaar and Voltaire. Each delivered unrivalled dining experiences, atmosphere, creativity and flavour – solidifying why they continue to remain my go-to restaurants for unforgettable meals
