Size and Fit

This Alaïa dress is designed to fit close to the body and follow the natural lines of the figure. The velvet bodice provides structure through the upper body, while the skirt is softly draped through the waist and hips. The dress fits true to size. The bodice is fitted through the shoulders, bust and waist, creating a sculpted shape through the torso. A zip closure runs down the back to the lower back, allowing the dress to sit securely while maintaining the close fit through the upper body. The skirt features gathering through the centre front, which allows it to contour the hips while providing some flexibility through the midsection. The fabric has slight stretch, helping the dress move comfortably with the body. The skirt falls to a midi length, sitting below the knee on most clients. On petite clients it may sit slightly longer around the ankle, while on taller clients it may sit slightly closer to a midi length.
