The three designers you need to know

July 20, 2019

Focused on representing more diverse and exclusive product to sit alongside the most covetable luxury designers in fashion, Parlour X founder and buyer Eva Galambos has expanded Parlour X’s edit this season to include three of Paris’ most-coveted designers – all of whom you should be keeping on your radar as they shape the way we dress for seasons to come…

Established in 1966 as a couture house, Paco Rabanne is the eponymous fashion label of Spain-born, Paris-based Paco Rabanne . Since 2013 the brand has been helmed by creative director Julie Dossena, who has reimagined the houses’ archival futuristic creations of metal rectangles, disks and chains; but with a compelling and elevated vision of bohemian, sultry and coveted garments.

Dossena’s capable hands have revived the storied futuristic label, bringing a fresh aesthetic that has resonated with international consumers and the fashion guard alike. Buyer Eva Galambos has had her eye on Paco Rabanne as it rises through the ranks of curiosity; and with each garment designed to celebrate the female form using handcrafted details, Dossena’s star consciously has risen to make Paco Rabanne the next ‘it’ brand in fashion.

Over the last two decades, Dice Kayek is synonymous with the finest creativity, couture elements and craftsmanship; and the philosophy celebrates architecture of the female form, structure and silhouette.
Founded in 1992 by sisters Ece Age and Ayse Age, the duo creates collections that are poetic in spirit, woven from a rich tapestry of influences. Dice Kayek merges dual concepts of tradition and modernity, inspirations of Paris and Istanbul and features luxury and contemporary design, made to the most exacting standard of couture.

Founded in 1961 by André Courrèges, the iconic French House is being redefined by German designer, Yolanda Zobel.

Zobel’s resume requires mentioning, with previous positions held at Giorgio Armani, Chloé, Jil Sander and Acne Studios – the latter of which she brought her design team from.

Since presenting her first collection for the fashion house in September, Zobel has brought forth a new concept for Courrèges that includes a futuristic take on modern shapes and metallic and sporty high points.
