Last night at Parlour X, we opened the doors of our home at ‘The Church’ in Paddington to China’s first international supermodel, Lu Yan – introducing Australia’s fashion media and shopping elite to the model-cum-designer’s exciting and fast-expanding contemporary ready to wear label, Comme Moi, in partnership with The Woolmark Company.
Eva Galambos, Parlour X’s founder and director said said on the decision to launch Comme Moi to the local market, “As the destination retail space in Australia for luxury curated fashion, we have a uniquely original, directional and wearable concept. We embrace new design talent to complement our existing portfolio of luxury heavyweights. Comme Moi will be a seamless addition with its focus on providing delicate and high quality garments for the modern woman.”
A sunset cocktail event was a fitting way to celebrate the launch of the exclusive, limited edition capsule collection in conjunction with Lunar New Year, with a bespoke window and store installation by Bou Design House, featuring custom paper installation by artist Jacqui Hudson. Floral arrangements by Grandiflora, antique carpetry supplied by Cadry’s, an accessories station featuring a curated selection of Tiffany & Co.‘s HardWear jewellery and a lucky red envelope gift and in-store monogramming bar by The Daily Edited made for an immersive experience for the 150-strong crowd of influencers, fashion media, Parlour X VIPs and friends.
On the collaborative launch, designer Lu Yan said “I am grateful to Parlour X for being the bridge between Comme Moi and Australian consumers. Merino wool’s high quality, softness and versatility works perfectly with my designs, ensuring excellent tailoring and making them inherently comfortable to wear.”
Comme Moi’s pre and main FW18 collections, featuring garments made from Cool Wool, will be available to purchase in-boutique for a limited time only.
