Commencing the 84 looks strong collection; Valentino Pre-Fall16 was one of the season’s most prodigious. Channelling inspiration, the collection was theatrical and explained from a temporary showroom set up in Andy Warhol’s final factory, the wood-panelled office of which apparently remains unchanged from the early ‘80s. Elio Firorucci, The Italian designer, who died last year, was a New York treasure whose own influences came from everywhere. “He was local and global,” said Chiuri, “and we think that fits with the way we work.”   The Valentino RTW Pre-Fall 16 started with the long-sleeved collared shirt with 3/4 flared sleeves. This shirt featured in silk and the colour ways, Nero, deep ardesia and melogrand. Similarly, also featured in silk is the Valentino, bat-winged top with a fitted waist. This ¾-sleeved top comes in the same colour ways as the collared shirt and is a beautiful alternative to a causal every day blouse, a current favourite of Olivia Palermo, London socialite – Millie Makintosh and Caggie Dunlop.   Following, the collection progresses into an ethereal themed knit with the long-sleeved crew neck textured knit jumper, featuring butterfly embroidery in the colour ways, ivory and Nero. A beautifully crafted knit that makes a statement even paired with the simplest of garments. Also a featured of Sally Obermeder, Lottie Moss and her older sister, Kate Moss.   Additionally, within this collection is the long-sleeved crew neck jumper with side splits, featured in a heron print and the colour ways of blue/pink, this jumper is a stunning and eye-catching winter wardrobe style and has been spotted on an array of A-list celebrities including, Jodie Foster, Emilia Clarke and Kit De Waal. Alternatively, this beautiful piece also comes in the Jacquard dress with heron print and blue/pink colour way. A more feminie take on the design the dress is a hit style for Gigi Hadid and Taylor Swift.   Further, the collection showcases the aesthetically beautiful collard long-sleeved shirt with ethereal bird print featured in silk crepe de chine in colours, blue/cream and dusty pink/cream. Correspondingly, is the sleeve-less crew neck shift dress in printed Astro couture. With the classic length sitting just above the knee, this stunning dress can be worn seasonally and makes for the beautiful style when layering, spotted on stars such as, Gwyneth Paltrow and Candice Swanepoel.   Concluding, the short-sleeved cape top in silk, a currently wardrobe staple of Miranda Kerr, this blouse comes in the colour ways of Nero, bamboo/light mint and Arctic/Grey blue.
