OWNED by Kering company
FOUNDED 1919, by Spanish couturier Cristobal Balenciaga
Balenciaga is a French fashion house founded by Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga.
Cristóbal Balenciaga had a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards and was referred to as "the master of us all" by Christian Dior. His bubble skirts and odd, feminine, yet ultra-modern shapes were trademarks of the house and worn by Spanish aristocracy.
Balenciaga’s first runway show featured designs heavily influenced by the Spanish Renaissance, transforming the female silhouette and empowering women of the 20th
century by removing the waist and corseted figures and focusing on straight cuts.
This new silhouette for women is one of the most significant contributions to the world of fashion to date, redefining the standard of luxury fashions for the last century.
The House of Balenciaga is now owned by the French multinational company Kering.
Parlour X is has traditionally and respectively represented the first Balenciaga collections from it past three creative directors; the prolific Nicholas Ghesquiere, sensationalist Alexander Wang and now, boy-wonder Demna Gvasalia – whose own label VETEMENTS will also be represented by Parlour X for the first time in 2016.
The label continues to be a favourite of Parlour X clients, and with the new appointment of Demna Gvasalia, a powerful and avant-garde force, will embody a unique and exciting voice and approach to the silhouettes we know the brand for.

Celine was one of the first luxury brands to open up distribution internationally, and their focus on global expansion continued over the next decades.

In September 2008 the label announced that ex-Chloe visionary Phoebe Philo would step in to take the reins.
Today, the label is one of the most influential and powerful luxury houses in the world, with a fervent following of which the demand shows no signs of slowing.
The house of Celine has redefined what women want to wear, with a minimalist, clean aesthetic and understated approach. It’s unintentional creation of cult hand bags and footwear, make the label that much more desirable.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR Clare Waight Keller
Gaby Aghion created Chloé with a vision she called “luxury prêt-à-porter.” Naming the brand after her friend Chloe who she felt personified the essence of the brand, Chloé was Aghion’s answer to the demand for a label that combined the high quality of haute couture with the accessibility of ready-to-wear, during a time when the luxury fashion houses only offered haute couture.
In the 70s, its bohemian, feminine details made it a favorite of icons like Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot, and Jackie O.
Chloé is known for launching the careers of young designers, including a 28-year-old Karl Lagerfeld in 1966, 26-year-old Stella McCartney in 1997 and Celine’s Phoebe Philo. Today, the label is helmed by London native Clare Waight Keller since 2011.
Bags and shoes continue to rank among Chloé’s most coveted wares. The brand’s romantic Parisian nonchalance burns brightly, the signature style embodying the carefree attitude of the modern Chloé woman.
The label has maintained a romantic yet mature elegance while still remaining current, and recent heightened success stems from Clare Waight Keller’s understanding of what makes the Chloe brand resonate with women, stating “I love the fact that Chloe was started by a woman, and I love the fact that it speaks to women, it’s not a conceptual brand It’s much more sensitive. It’s intuitive to women.”
As one of our most prevalent brands for four years, Parlour X caters to the Chloe woman looking for sophisticated and feminine pieces with a light and youthful essence. Our amazing hand bag selection from the iconic ‘Faye’ and ‘Drew’ continue to draw attention, amongst our selection of shoes, dresses and brass and silver jewels.

A true icon, Yves Saint Laurent became the first designer to have a retrospective on his work at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. In January 2002, Saint Laurent participated in his final show and then retired in Marrakech.
