EK THONGPRASERT
Our first appointment for the SS16 season was EK Thongprasert. We have collaborated with EK for several seasons and we love that he tailors his collections to offer Parlour X exclusive colours and styles that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
We love this new style of neckpiece on offer this season.
This story also includes a fantastic pendant-style neckpiece and statement earrings.
MSGM
The MSGM collection this season features the brand’s signature bright colour palette. As the new Creative Director for Pucci, Massimo Giorgetti has embraced prints more and more in his own collection and this season features many fantastic summery prints.

One of our favourite prints from MSGM this season is this pastel bird of paradise print that will be featured on a fabulous maxi skirt and strapless maxi dress.
PROENZA SCHOULER
Held in the Marais, our Proenza Schouler appointment was one of our favourites of the season. Some of our selections from this season.
Hernandez and McCullough are heavily inspired by Spain for their summer collection and this influence is evident in the ruffle detailing, red, white and black colour palette and distinct flamenco theme that emanates from the collection.
Rebel and I love these halter-neck dresses in the short and long sleeve.
Holding one of the runway prints in the showroom. What a fantastic summer collection from Proenza Schouler!
ELLERY
Right before Ellery’s first official Paris runway show, we took a sneak peek at the new collection in their Paris showroom. We love Kym Ellery’s Spring/Summer offering and we eagerly await the exclusive styles we ordered to arrive in-store.
Every season we are fortunate enough to work with the Ellery team to create a unique capsule collection for Parlour X. This upcoming season we will receive Ellery’s signature off-the-shoulder dresses in classic shirting as well as new silhouettes and fabrics.
ISABEL MARANT
One of Marant’s greatest strengths is that her collections offer something for everyone; from wrap mini skirts, to statement embellished jackets to metallic drop crotch pants, there are many pieces in this collection that will be perfect for the Parlour X woman.

Another highlight this season are Marant’s runway shoes. Fantastic braided rope flat sandals and heels are the centrepiece of her shoe offering and we cannot wait for them to arrive next season!
JENNIFER FISHERThis season Jennifer Fisher presents a new collection that incorporates structural elements of her past collections with new themes and abstract shapes.
Standout pieces from this collection include this Chaos ring available in Gold and Silver and also the Abstract Drop earrings.
CHLOE
This season Claire Waight Keller’s Chloe woman is still channelling the 70’s however this time she is feeling distinctly sporty. Classic Chloe silhouettes are still evident in this season’s collection however fabrications, prints and a rainbow colour palette reflects Keller’s youthful and optimistic outlook towards her Spring/Summer offering.
Admiring this denim dress from the runway show.
The Chloe SS16 collection has an athleisure casual-wear aesthetic. Great knitwear (including this striped sweater) and luxurious track pants feature this season and even though these styles are somewhat of a departure for Chloe they still have Chloe’s signature cool-girl appeal.
We love the new colour range in the classic Chloe Marcie Bag on offer this season!
How fantastic are the patchwork Drew Bags?! Also available in the Faye style, the 70’s are truly back with these must-have accessories.
A new bag style we have ordered for next season is the Georgia. This bag is a cross-body style and comes in a variety of classic Chloe colours; Black, Light Grey and Chloe’s signature Tan.
ACNE
Our first runway season with Acne Studios does not disappoint. This season we viewed the rock chic collection in their new showroom in the 16th Arrondissement.
Our Acne selections include fantastic long-sleeve knit tunics, classic Acne Studios shirt dresses and a fantastic skirt/short combination.
We have also ordered the classic Acne Studios Biker jacket in classic Black. A sophisticated and classically cool collection from the Swedish fashion house.
JUNYA WATANABE
Inspired by traditional African prints, fabrications and silhouettes, the Junya Watanbe SS16 collection is a pleasure to buy. Some of our selections include beautifully knitted tunic dresses with contrasting colours, straight and drop crotch printed pants and oversized printed shirt dresses.

This season we have also ordered from Watanabe’s denim collection including these patchwork jeans.

The Comme des Garçons collection always offers classic and timeless wardrobe staples. This season we love the linen drop-crotch pants and easy skirt, a cotton stripe story that will feature on long-sleeve tops and dresses and fantastic fisherman blouses in a range of colours.

BALENCIAGA
Despite being Alexander Wang’s last season for Balenciaga, his Spring/Summer collection is one of the most commercial and sophisticated yet. Beautifully constructed slip dresses and tops with classic Cristobal Balenciaga silhouettes are key pieces in the collection and we are looking forward to these arriving in-store in early 2016.
We love these bow detail heels in black suede!
The Balenciaga Navy Cabas story has been incredibly popular and this season new colours and colour combinations have been offered in pouches, cross-body pockets and carry-bags.
CELINE
This season Phoebe Philo focuses on knitwear and lace detailing. We love this knit camisole top which will pair back perfectly with the matching A-Line skirt we have ordered in the same story.

One of the new season styles offered by Celine this season is the Sangle bag. This tote bag is the perfect work bag and will be available in three colours.

Another new style that has already been snapped everywhere on street style is the Trotteur bag. As seen on the likes of Chiara Ferragni, this style will be available in two sizes in a range of colours.

Celine has also offered their ballerina heels again and next season we will receive these chunky heels in classic black and fantastic tawny tan.
STELLA MCCARTNEY
Summer at Stella McCartney is always a lighthearted affair. This season McCartney is inspired by the idea of effortlessness in summer dressing. Her inspiration filters through in her collection in the form of delicately pleated two-toned maxi skirts, classic shirt dresses and structured knitwear basics.
This mixed mesh and jersey mini-dress is a highlight of the collection.
We also love this green plaid print that is a focal point throughout the collection. This print will feature on this oversized jumper and a skirt. Fantastic as an outfit or as separates!
The many different stripes and plaids of Stella McCartney in the showroom.
KENZO
The Kenzo runway show was spectacular and we were excited to see the collection in the showroom up close and in the flesh. This season Humberto Leon and Carol Lim are inspired by resort travelling and the result is a very commercial collection. Our selections this season include a fantastic knitted long-sleeve body suit, a printed tunic in the defining stripe print of the season and several off-the-shoulder shirts in a variety of prints and colours.

This body suit features in the runway show and will also be available in a sleeveless version.
VALENTINO
Valentino is another collection inspired by the African continent. Beautifully coloured prints of giraffes, rhinos, hippos and elephants feature on garments in light cotton. Pierpaolo Piccoli and Maria Grazia Chiuri also mix elements like raffia and leather to give the collection an earthy-feel while maintaining the luxury that Valentino is known for.

We have ordered the new IT shoe from Valentino, the Love Latch. This style was photographed all over Paris Fashion Week and looks to be as popular as the Rockstud!
SAINT LAURENT
This season Saint Laurent channels the 90’s, complete with diamonte tiara's, oversized fur jackets and chunky Doc Martin-style boots. Hedi Slimane worked his magic and the result is a very commercial collection infused with Slimane’s typical grunge-aesthetic.
This season our Saint Laurent selections include a fabulous bomber jacket in a cat print jacquard and a double breasted coat in the same tawny colour palette.

We have also ordered the classic Saint Laurent silk scarves in black and polka dot. These silk scarves were an instant hit when they were first launched and look to be a constant element in Slimane’s vision for Saint Laurent.

The Saint Laurent shopping totes were a huge hit this season and we have re-ordered this style next season in classic Black.
Another runway season over, looking forward to Pre-Fall 2016 in January!
