Australian-born designer, Şener Besim debuted his first fine jewellery collection exclusively at Parlour X, alongside luxury and unisex eyewear collection on an October evening. Surrounded by talented, leading figureheads from Australia's art, design and fashion network including Noah Taylor, Mary Shackman, George Livissianis, Kit Willow, David Caon, Karin Upton Baker, Trevor Stones and Camilla Freeman Topper, Parlour X director Eva Galambos welcomed guests to experience and view Şener Besim's fine jewellery collection for the first time. The jewellery, crafted in 18-karat gold and inspired by Ottoman architecture and modernist sculpture, explores the essential qualities of shape and precious material in design. Each piece celebrates the qualities of perfect geometry; Besim’s Middle Eastern cultural heritage and a desire to create luxury accessories to appeal to a customer of creativity and independent spirit. In partnership with iconic restaurant Chin Chin, chef Benjamin Cooper created a menu for the evening with house signature canapés and cocktails, plus beverages by Santa Vittoria. In partnership with EVH agency, the evening unveiled the fine jewellery campaign by legendary Australian photographer, Bill Henson, which was projected onto the sandstone Church walls. Pictured together is Emma van Haandel, director of EVH agency with Şener Besim and Eva Galambos. Men in conversation; super-stylist Mikey Ayoubi and acclaimed photographer Max Doyle. Parlour X's very own Tiah Andersen with legacy industry consultant, Marilyn Bracks.
