Following an influential tenure with Junya Wantanabe, Chitose Abe started Sacai in 1999 and created that is partly sporty and slight edgy with a touch of haute couture. Her juxtaposition of unexpected fabrics and construction techniques has garnered praise from fashion insiders and the sartorial set.   Taking her bow concluding the show, Chitose Abe wore a shirt that read, in script, Love Will Save the Day. Abe has manipulated this saying in a million different ways. Broken down into single letters, they appeared as graphic intarsias on knit sweats; prints on pleated chiffon skirts; and scrolling embroideries on sheer, shimmery sweatshirts.   Commencing the AW16 collection, Calligraphy print t-shit featured in a short sleeve crew neck, this t-shirt has a front pocket and pleated sheer layer at the back.  The cool-girl style is a staple piece that can turn any casual outfit into a statement with cult like effects, and is loved by the likes of Kristen Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence and Gigi Hadid.   The straight, knee length Calligraphy embroidery regimental skirt featured in black and navy, additionally navy and orange is a functional skirt that pairs as a staple wardrobe piece caters to any outfit or occasion. A season must-have, this skirt can be paired with the calligraphy embroidery regimental sweater. A long-sleeved turtleneck jumper with featured in navy or orange and graduating navy or orange embroidery, this style sensation has been seen on Lily-Rose Depp, Reese Witherspoon and Blake Lively.   Following on with the point of difference throughout the collection and Abe’s manipulation of broken down single letters is the Alphabet patch t-shirt. A short-sleeved t-shirt style in both white and black featuring a crew neck boxy shape and zips at the sides makes a lastly impact and statement when worn with the slogan Love Will Save The Day. Lyrics which where famously song by Whitney Houston, the Japanese artist used the gothic calligraphy and the phrase as a meaningless slogan which has been proliferate on runways this season.   Alternatively, for a more classic and clean approach there is the cotton jersey dress, a short-sleeved crew neck with cut out and tie drop waist, this dress also features a contrasting wrap in the Colour navy. Both colours have paved the way through this season in terms of must-have Colour ways. Additionally, there is the classic shirting dress, with extra long sleeves and half button closure. Similarly featuring the contrasting embodied texture in the colour green, following this is the classic shirt, also with extra long sleeves and half button closure is the perfect high-street meets rock star style.   For the IT style of the season, there is the classic top in short sleeves, this boxy top style features a crew neck line and details with belts at the sleeves. These belted sleeves are adjustable for a more oversized or fitted look depended on the look. Additionally, this box top style also has a tulle underlay in both black and white and is a current style favorite for Bella Hadid, Olivia Palermo and Whitney Port.   Concluding the collection, which featured layers upon layers, is the sweater pullover. The long wide sleeved jumper with elasticized band above the elbow highlights the connection and appreciation between Japanese and Western pop culture that is able to feed back to all in a familiar and gloriously unpredictable way.
