Saint Laurent Pre Fall 16 collection was the beginning of something: La Maison Yves Saint Laurent, a new, or reconstituted, haute couture house? The collection transpired into the fashion house that originated on designs that crave and thrive off surprises.   Commencing the collection was a showcase of designs which pushed the ‘80s shoulder to a pinnacle of upstanding exaggeration, drove glittery hemlines up, plunged necklines, belted waits with flourishing side-bows and put feet into stiletto pumps. A true node to the ‘80s what with the slicked-back hair, red lips and triangular earrings, a total sublimated 21st-century throwbacks to every Helmut Newton-ear Vogue shoot fashion remembers.   Starting the Pre Fall 16 collection is a wardrobe essential and complete ‘80s channelled is the Grain De Poudre Blazer with contrasting satin lapel, featuring a one-button closure in the colour way Noir. This Blazer has been spotted on fashions A-lists such as Olivia Palermo, London Socialite and Singer, Caggie Dunlop and Victoria Secret Model Jordan Dunn. Similarly, there is the Grain De Poudre Blazer, also featuring a one-button closure however with a simple satin lapel in Noir.   Following the wardrobe must-have for the Pre-Fall season is the long sleeved crew neck blouse with slight prairie sleeves, featured in a beautiful paisley folk print, this blouse can be perfectly paired with the previously mentioned blazers. Continuing the paisley folk print design is the shirt long-sleeved collared shirt that gives a more formal approach to the collection, pair this shirt with the long, A-lined floaty tiered skirt also in paisley folk print to create the perfect Pre-Fall ensemble. This ensemble is a current favourite of Sienna Miller, Vanessa Hudgens and Clemence Poesy.   Alternatively, aim your wardrobe focus to a more versatile approach, such as the collared shirt, this plain crepe viscose shirt features a unique batwing design with ¾ sleeve length, the perfect update look to the classic white blouse and a high ticket fashion must have for Kate Middleton. Style and create a complete ‘70s look by pair this blouse with the long, a-lined floaty tiered skirt featuring 70s print.   Continuing with the patterns for the Saint Laurent collection, the sleeve-less top with necktie and racer back featuring a polka dot point print. When it comes to dressing for those cooler months, cue the Angie collared velvet blazer, a completely ‘70s inspired jacket with a longer body and featured in a marine/navy colour way. The perfect pairing in colour and texture, the blouse and blazer have been spotted on Kate Waterhouse and photographer Lara Jade.   The essential of the collection are the jumpers. Firstly, the long-sleeved crew neck striped jumper with ribbed cuffs in a beautiful cashmere fabrication. Additionally, there is the long-sleeved striped turtleneck jumper, an oversized fit in cashmere raye, and this jumper is perfect for a more casual occasion, paired with jeans or leather tights.   The key statement accessory that can be perfectly pair with any of the mentioned products is the Saint Laurent leather and chain belt. A beautiful belt featuring the YSL logo in gold has been a largely spotted accessory featured on a-list stars such as Angeline Jolie, Natalie Portman and Jessica Alba.
