Show season is now officially over! Once again I travelled to Paris to buy my favourite collections from my favourite designers & this season was particularly impressive. Following is a RUNWAY re-cap of all the collections that I buy for Parlour X.

BALENCIAGA

The Balenciaga show this season was infused with spots of colour and sporty silhouettes that reflect both the Balenciaga aesthetic & Alexander Wang's new influence. But I loved this collection even more when I could see the detail and feel & touch up close in the showroom!
CHLOE Whilst I have been to Chloe shows in the past, this season was the first Chloe show that I attended whilst actually buying the collection for Parlour X. I felt more connected & loved the atmosphere even more. Plus I had an amazing front row seat and managed to capture this video… CARVEN   Carven continued its lady like aesthetic with the signature Carven twist.  This season, I particularly loved the leopard print injected in interesting ways throughout the collection. COMME DES GARCONS The Comme Des Garcons Runway Show is always the best show for iconic 'fashion' people spotting since there is always the ultimate 'who's who' of the international Fashion Industry. Not usually the show to star spot (unless its a major fashion identity), I was surprised to see Rihanna front row. And since she was sitting directly opposite me, I couldn't help take these discreet sneaky shots of her whilst we waited for the show to commence… Rei Kawakubo;s AW14 collection walking down the runway…. Spot newly appointed International Vogue Editor Suzy Menkes! COMME DES GARCONS COMME DES GARCONS PRESENTATION Unlike the mainline Comme show, the Comme Comme presentation is a very intimate affair held at their headquarters with only a small lucky few (including moi) invited to attend. ISABEL MARANT JUNYA WATANABE Like the Comme show, the Junya Watanabe show is another heavily attended event by fashion industry giants. Although not as mainstream many of Junya's collections establish seasonal trends – this season Junya focused on different textures and layers of black. And this show was certainly amongst my favourites of the season!
KENZO Kenzo collaborated with David Lynch for this season's runway show and this was obvious in the brightly coloured prints that walked down the runway - of which included many Twin Peaks references – spooky, quirky & very cool!

RICK OWENS

After last years landmark show the Rick Owens' show was relatively tame – though still with a classic Rick Owens twist! This season real women – many of them Rick Owens own family and friends – walked the runway show.

SAINT LAURENT

Another season, another Saint Laurent runway show gets everyone talking – this season Slimane sent school girl inspired models down the runway in tartans and sequins. LOVE!!!

VALENTINO

As always Valentino was intricately detailed, beautiful and one of my favourites – loved the bright pops of pink throughout the show. Meanwhile in London and Milan... MARY KATRANTZOU This season Mary Katrantzou stepped away from brightly coloured party dressed and experimented with silhouettes, embroidery and applique in a darker spectrum.   MSGM
My first runway show for MSGM this season also – great mix of prints and texture in this collection..
PETER PILOTTO Like Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto changed direction this season and focused on layering with spots of colour and texture throughout the collection.
