The arrival of Isabel Marant shoes every season evokes a manic obsession in the world of high fashion, particularly with the creation of the wedge-sneaker. This season, a fresh drop of the coveted Bobby sneakers have returned along with new summer styles that have once again set the bar for global fashion. The Bobby sneakers, a favourite of Beyonce, Anna Hathaway and Kate Bosworth to name a few, are crafted from luxurious perforated suede and feature a streamlined silhouette adorned with sports luxe accents and a lace-up front for a sporty yet stylish look. With the arrival of the SS15 collection came along the Birkenstock-inspired slip-on sandals. The Clay Sandals come in staple colours of brown and black to compliment the earthy tones featured on the front tassle. These sandals compliment the minimalistic nature of the Isabel Marant Resort collection with a standout added embellishment exemplified by the tassle. For an even more minimalistic option, there are the Holden slides, which are tassle-free, providing the must-have basic summer shoe to take you through the season. Consistent with prior Isabel Marant collections, the eyelet design has also made a return, adapting to a summer collection in the form of a sandal. The new Lapsy sandals also only come in black and natural, demonstrating Isabel Marant’s intention for earthy tones to be the emphasis of Spring/Summer 15 footwear. The eyelet sandal design is representative of Isabel Marant’s worldly upbringing with its oriental influenced shape and embellishment and is already a fan favourite with Nicole Richie, Emma Watson and Jennifer Lawrence.

The Eastern influenced designs continue with the criss-crossed ankle wrap Amy Sandal, crafted from smooth cognac calfskin, which makes for stylish yet casual and comfortable wear. The latest collection still satisfies the reputation for boots that can only be claimed by Isabel Marant.  The sporty Cluster Boot can be paired with the Isabel Marant Etoile Dixie Dress or just about any other Resort collection piece, for a laid-back, tomboy look in typical Isabel Marant relaxed fashion. Another cult favourite that still remains is the Western-inspired Dicker Boot, in black and khaki, to add a bit of cowboy style to a jeans and tee-shirt outfit. The newest boot and standout piece of Isabel Marant SS15 shoes is the Largo Low Suede Boot, which removes the signature concealed heel as demonstrated by prior collections, but maintains a Western crossed with Eastern style influence reflected by the harness-style eyelet detail.
