Isabel Marant RTW AW 16 is calling all quintessential Paris Boho girls out there as she introduces yet another cracking collection. Switching things up, Marant went down the disco metallic path while the beautifully finesse formula remains the same. A new take on style requires a muse, Marant found a 80’s muse with a distinctly British edge influencing the use of check prints seen in the Mista Top while featuring exposed metal zips. Staying true to the Isabel Marant aesthetic the top features a tie neck bow which drapes into the side seams. Taylor Swift channelled her in rock/country chick and was spotted wearing the Mista Top in Pink/Green while Emma Roberts was spotted wearing it in Anby Anthracite/burgundy. Cant get enough of the check print like Clemence Poesy and Karlie Kloss, Marant introduces the Milton dress. The dress features short balloon sleeves with a high contrast neckline, blousy top teams with a gathered fitted mid thigh skirt. Clemence Poesy was also spotted in the Black/Red colourway while Karlie Kloss was spotted in the Anby Anthracite/Burgundy.   From glossy vinyl jackets and coats to 70s houndstooth, it was no surprise that the use of leather was present. Though the surprise was leather with a crinkly effect, featuring metal silver hardware and a distinctive exposed metal zip running diagonally across the skirt. Digging not so deep for her inner punk chick, Lily Aldridge a natural punk chick, rocked the Breezy Skirt effortlessly as she accompanied her rocker husband to lunch.   Continuing to bring the cool rocker chick through all garments came the Ilia Sweater and the Adil Knit Top. Both a very different take on punk rock, the Ilia Sweater is a high neck sweater with long sleeves, featuring cut out holes down the neckline and center front and back of the body. Whereas the Adil Knit Top is a long sleeve top with ribbed cuff, hem and side neck. Made with Lurex, this gives the top the punk chick feel. Kate Bosworth has been spotted in the Ilia Knit Anthracite and Blake Lively has been seen in the Adil Knit Top. Taking the rocker punk theme down a notch, still featuring a similar colourway of black and red, the Manray Shirt is a classic shirt style with a collar and button up front and cuffs featuring a check/stripe print. Seen sporting this wearable classic top is Rachel Bilson under a leather jacket.   Getting back to the south of France girl, the original aesthetic of the brand house, Marant reintroduced the lace, ruffles and frilly mini things. The Quidor Dress features a deep V neck, 1/ sleeve, an A-line panelled skirt with fine lace trim around the waistline and neckline. Miranda Kerr was spotted in this elegant chic dress while out with son Flynn. The Ramses Dress is a mash of sheer fabric, lace, fitted waistline an a mini fitted skirt. The dress features a long sleeve, panelled sheer bodice and skirt with lace detailing around the garment. Elle MacPherson was spotted in this elegant but sexy dress pairs with a classic black stiletto and black pouch. The Zim Skirt is a pencil skirt, coated with lace and features a silk underlay dress, who doesn’t need a lace pencil skirt in the wardrobe? Alessandro Ambrosio was seen on the streets of NYC in this Isabel Marant creation.   Though the garments were obviously rocker and pushing the boundaries in terms of aesthetic, the shows weren’t. They were subtle and still were true Isabel Marant style and design. The Dabbs Boot has a point toe, leather front and suede back with a side zip opening and 5cm heel. Rachel Bilson has been spotted in these boots on various casual occasions. The Poppy Heels in suede features a vinyl leather bow detail and point toe. The juxtaposition of a bow but in vinyl is a clear indication of classic Isabel Marant style vs Rocker Punk Chic.
