What is your favourite luxury treatment in Copenhagen?
There is a little local spa called Sofie Badet
located in Christianshavn
, Copenhagen. It's not a luxury spa, but it's super local and beautiful with brass bathtubs and marble on the walls. We actually shot our campaign for the 'Blue' collection in 2014. For lovers of luxury, Kurhotel Skodsborg
is 30 minutes north of Copenhagen in Skodsborg. It is beautifully located by the sea and offers some of the best beauty treatments I've come across.
Your top boutiques in Copenhagen?
is my go-to for luxe pieces, it has a central location and stocks cool brands like Aglini, Etro and Missoni. A store called Magnolias Luksus 2ndhand
, in Strøget, is the best place for vintage. Holly Golightly
is definitely one of my favourite boutiques. They have one shoe store and one clothing store; both stores have amazing labels and are gorgeously decorated. Sabine Poupinel
is a small, wonderful boutique with the best hand-picked products.
Your preferred spot for a night-cap?
is in the yard of Charlottenborg
, an art institution located in the centre of Copenhagen. Perfect for summer nights serving lovely dishes as well as great drinks and cocktails. Ruby
is an all time favourite, it’s decorated like a high-end apartment, but is relaxed enough that I can unwind with a Tom-Collins.
What's your favourite cultural hub in Copenhagen?
I love the creativity and calmness of Freetown Christiania
, an autonomous, commune-like neighbourhood.
Tell us about your favourite restaurants in Copenhagen.
There are lots of new exciting places to dine in Copenhagen which are opening up all the time! It's difficult to choose, however I do love Italian food - so places like Bevi Bevi
or Osteria 29, both located in Vesterbro
are favourite spots to go. Another is Babette Guldsmeden Hotel
. For cheap and cheerful food, drop by Copenhagen Street Food
in Papirøen, a great waterfront food market that's also reasonably priced. You can follow Cecile Jorgensen on Instagram at @cecilehjorgensen
