Succeeding last season’s virtual motorcycle trip, Chloe’s Clare Waight Keller was in the mood for a more urban vibe. “I wanted to bring it back to the city. It was time to clean it up,” she said backstage, wearing an oversize white tee tucked into high-waisted pants. A version of that look would come down the runway a few moments later. Waight Keller works on instinct, subtly attuned to the vagaries of her own desires and wardrobe needs. Waight Keller was content to give her customers what they already want - or at least updated versions of it. Her pleated, tiered, and lace-trimmed frocks in sorbet shades were short this season, rather than floor grazing. Also in the mix: ditzy floral prints on a camisole and an off-the-shoulder top worn with matching pants. They were a sweet compromise between the familiar Chloé and the new. Chloe’s take on the shoulder-baring silhouette this SS17 season is typically modern. The blue multi-coloured cotton top is finished with a small floral print, and can be adjusted to a desired fit using the tie fastening details. You can pump up the volume for those summer days with colour-pop trousers and easy slides. Making way for effortlessly feminine aesthetic, Clare Waight Keller continues to add chic and emanate warmth through the floral blue, multi-coloured short-sleeved top.  It is cut for a boxy silhouette, and detailed with square neckline and handkerchief sleeves for subtle volume. Complete a perfect off-duty look with high-waisted trousers and ankle boots. Placing extra drama and Chloe’s noted free-spirited aesthetic to your SS17 wardrobe, is the blue multi-coloured maxi skirt. This cotton skirt is printed with a large floral motif, and has a fluid silhouette that falls in voluminous lengths to an ankle-grazing hem. It will look sweetest matched with a similarly patterned top – just as it was styled on the SS17 runway.   Concluding the SS17 collection is an eye-catching must-have - Chloe’s sleeve-less rib knit wool-blend dress. Emblazoned with contrast paneling with white and blue stripes, it’s cut close to the body for a flattering silhouette, and will look at its most chic with velvet platform sandals. A fashion hit with all of the industry’s most influences, including, Kate Waterhouse, Nadia Fairfax, Halle Berry and Kate Moss.
