Founded in 1945 by French designer Céline Vipiana, Céline Paris has stood the test of time as one of the first true luxury brands in the fashion industry. Since 2008, under the creative direction of visionary Phoebe Philo, Céline has redefined what women want to wear, with her minimalist aesthetic, clean lines and tonal colour palettes of the clothing and footwear regarded as the epitome of chic. Céline bags are coveted all over the world, with waiting lists for styles including Luggage bags, Knot bags, Belt bags, Trio bags, Cabas bags and Trapeze bags.   What draws women to Céline is Philo’s subtly nonconformist taste level. This time it was her brilliant colour sense, which demonstrated that distinction—mint green and magenta combined in a low-waisted cotton shirtdress attached to a flowy skirt, with red boots and a bag, for example; or the offbeat shades of lemon and pink in a couple of draped, caped evening dresses. All in all, there was a sense that a Céline woman could go anywhere she needs in these clothes—to the school gate in the trainers, to a meeting in the tailoring, to a gallery opening or a cocktail party—without feeling either underdressed or overdone. It was fashion on an intuitive, clever, understanding wavelength. We know it when we see it—no explanation needed.   After seasons of larger-than-life statement baubles, it is now time to downsize for summer, with pretty rose gold accents, layers and skinny cuffs. Though tiny in size, Celine accessories make just as much of an impact – cue the knot bracelets. These gold, silver and rose gold-tone bangles make are a single-band style, decorated with a centered knot. A nod to the label’s less-is-more aesthetic; wear the bracelet alone to make a sublet yet eye-catching statement.   Wrap your Pre-SS17 accessory update with a bracelet sure to enliven any look, the Celine – Barbelle extra thin bracelet is gold and rose-gold tones. A toned brass barbelle feature, with open fastening, holds the two strands together. It will look great set against one of the label’s white blouses and cropped trousers.   Celine’s silver and gold-tone large and small plate necklace is endlessly versatile. Expertly crafted in Italy with a small logo – engraved, it will elevated an array of daytime looks thanks to the clean silhouette and minimalist design. Try it with a striking patterned top.
